About Gearbox Gurus Croydon
Your Local Automatic Gearbox Specialists
Croydon's one of the bigger towns we cover, and the mix of cars reflects that, minicabs and private hire doing serious mileage, plus a lot of ordinary commuter cars grinding through the tram routes and the town centre one-way system. That kind of stop-start driving is hard on a mechatronic unit, and it's a job we do often for drivers from Purley, Thornton Heath and South Norwood. We also get a steady stream of older automatics from Addiscombe and Shirley where the gearbox has simply never been serviced.
If your car's losing power, slipping between gears or won't select reverse properly, we'll collect it from anywhere in Croydon and get a proper diagnosis done before recommending anything.

Had a really great experience with these guys. Ross's technical knowledge shines through. It turns out the problem was coming from the ABS module and not the gearbox. They wouldn't accept any payment. Honest mechanics would use again.
