About Gearbox Gurus Southampton
Your Local Automatic Gearbox Specialists
Southampton's port and cruise terminal traffic keep a lot of cars in the area doing heavy, stop-start miles, which is hard on a mechatronic unit over time. We collect regularly from Eastleigh and Winchester as well as Southampton itself, and the fault pattern's fairly consistent: a car that's driven fine for years, then starts hesitating on pull-away or slipping under load. Fareham and the wider South Coast towards Portsmouth send us a similar mix, mostly torque converter wear from motorway commuting on the M27.
We don't have a branch in Southampton, so we cover it the same way we cover the rest of the South Coast, by collecting the car from your door, repairing it, and delivering it straight back.

Had a really great experience with these guys. Ross's technical knowledge shines through. It turns out the problem was coming from the ABS module and not the gearbox. They wouldn't accept any payment. Honest mechanics would use again.
