Tuning a performance car brings plenty of limits, and the gearbox is one of the biggest. Factory gearboxes are built for factory power. Push well past it and the clutch packs, torque converter and internal components become weak points. A properly built gearbox takes that limit away.

Every build is bespoke, specified around your car, your power target and how you’ll use it. That includes torque converters built to suit your setup, not an off-the-shelf part. Whatever the performance car, the build is engineered for it.

Warranty that covers how you actually drive
Most gearbox warranties disappear the moment you take the car on track or remap the engine. Ours doesn’t. Unlike most gearbox warranties, ours covers track use and remapped engines, so you can actually enjoy the car once it’s dialled in.

One of our most popular builds is the ZF 8HP, fitted to the latest Toyota GR Supra and BMW models using the same gearbox.
On a heavily tuned 8HP, the factory rear drum is one of the first parts to fail. It simply isn’t designed for the torque a big turbo build puts through it. Our builds use upgraded rear drums sourced from Europe, manufactured from a proper high-strength alloy, and they’re holding strong in 1,000hp applications.
A typical 8HP build includes:
- Upgraded aluminium rear drum: sourced from Europe, far stronger than the factory part
- Upgraded clutch packs: more holding capacity, so the gearbox doesn’t slip under high torque
- Bespoke torque converter: built for your power and setup
- Upgraded solenoids: for consistent, precise shifting under load

How it works
We collect your car from anywhere in the UK, build and set up the gearbox to your specification, and return it to your door. Every build is calibrated properly for the car, because a strong gearbox only performs if it’s set up correctly.
